Welcome Trail Builders!
This site is intended to be a resource for the ongoing developmental needs of Regional Trail Committees as part of a joint project with the Ontario Trails Council. As you move forward through the incremental steps of forming or revitalizing your group, we want to assist you by providing the tools that will build organizational capacity, professionalize your staff and board as well as provide a forum for discussion with fellow trail builders, share news and information and provide images of what trail looks like in other parts of Ontario.
The Trans Canada Trail in Ontario serves as the spine of the Trillium Trail Network being developed by the Ontario Trails Council. This exciting trail system will provide connectivity to the Trans Canada Trail to those communities who aren’t located on the Trans Canada Trail.
The Trans Canada Trail Foundation is tasked with the promotion and branding of the trail concept. Trans Canada Trail Ontario’s mandate is to help facilitate the construction of the trail through our partner community trail groups. Together we can finish the Trans Canada Trail in Ontario that ultimately creates the longest trail in the world. Coast to Coast to Coast!
